Liftline Limited was incorporated in August 1987. The Principal Director began his career working with a number of respected lift installation companies following his qualification as Bachelor of Science at the Sheffield City Polytechnic.
With this experience, it became apparent that many companies relied too heavily on the lift companies themselves to examine and specify necessary works. It was felt that by introducing an independent advisor, clients were not only protected from tying themselves down to a single manufacturer but they could also ensure value for money. The Company's understanding of the industry allows Liftline to provide that vital link.
"Liftline - The First Choice!"
The company began providing engineering design services to many lift installation and supply companies. These initial close working contacts have been maintained over the years which puts Liftline in an ideal situation to oversee installation works and keep up to date with modern trends and developments. Liftline naturally progressed and developed the consultancy side of the business so that for the last twenty years consultancy projects have provided 100% of all fees.
With the introduction of the Lifts Regulations, With the introduction of the Lifts Regulations and new European Lift Standards, the lift industry is undergoing a great deal of change. When added to the introduction of the SAFed LG1 periodic examinations and the development of Disability legislation (DDA), professional lift consultancy assistance has never before been more important.
Over the years the company has continued its steady progress specialising in providing lift consultancy services to other Consulting Engineers. This relieves them of the difficulties of finding suitably experienced staff, and allows them to operate in areas of lift work which may exceed their own expertise.
The company recognises the complexities of large and small scale projects alike and appreciates that some contracts may require input that exceeds our normal operational scope. For this reason the company has, by formal agreement, developed close trading arrangements with other highly motivated consulting engineering practices. This not only allows the company to operate successfully in areas normally considered to be outside the normal remit of other lift specialists but guarantees that every part of any project is managed by a specialist in that particular field, whilst retaining a single point of contact for the client.
